   Who we are

   BRKdesign (hereinafter “we” or “us”) is an independent digital studio, established at Biggekerksestraat 35, 4371 EW Koudekerke. For this website and our services we are the controller of your personal data.

   What data we process

   We only process data we genuinely need:

   • Data you provide yourself — if you contact us, we process your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message.
   • Technical data — our server keeps limited, technical data (such as IP address and browser type) needed to serve the site securely and reliably.
   • Usage statistics — with your consent, Google Analytics anonymously measures how our site is used (see “Cookies and Google Analytics” below).

   Purpose and legal basis

   We use your data to:

   • respond to your enquiry and prepare and carry out a possible collaboration (performance of, or steps prior to, an agreement);
   • operate, secure and improve our website (our legitimate interest);
   • comply with legal obligations, such as our administrative and retention duties.

   Cookies and Google Analytics

   To measure and improve our website we use Google Analytics (GA4). This places analytics cookies with which we anonymously track how the site is used — for example which pages are visited and via which device.

   We only place these cookies after you have given consent via the cookie notice (we use Google Consent Mode). If you don't consent, no analytics cookies are placed. We don't use Analytics for advertising or profiling and don't share the data with third parties for advertising purposes.

   You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting the cookies in your browser; the notice will then reappear. Beyond that we only use the functional and technical data needed to serve the site securely.

   Sharing with third parties

   We never sell your data. We do engage carefully chosen service providers who support us, such as our hosting and email provider and Google (for Google Analytics). They process data solely on our instructions and/or under a data processing agreement.

   How long we keep it

   We don't keep your data longer than necessary. Contact details from correspondence are kept for as long as relevant to a (possible) collaboration; administrative data is kept in line with the statutory term (7 years for tax records).

   Your rights

   You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data, and the right to object to the processing. Email us and we'll arrange it.

   Not happy with something? You can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.

   Security

   We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access on a need-to-know basis.

   We may update this statement when our services or the law require it. The most current version is always on this page.
