About the project
The Giovanni van Bronckhorst Foundation believes every child deserves a fair chance. Through sport, education and coaching the foundation helps children in Rotterdam become the captain of their own future. We translated that story into a warm, clear website — and built the app parents use to follow the S.V. GIO programme up close.
The brief
The Foundation wanted an online environment as powerful and warm as the work itself: the children's story front and centre, room for partners and donors, and a clear route to get involved.

S.V. GIO
At the heart of the foundation is S.V. GIO: a twenty-week programme where sport, education and coaching come together. Maths, language and reading comprehension go hand in hand with setting goals, taking responsibility and having fun — with sport as a metaphor for personal growth, and self-confidence and resilience as the result.
The parent app — iOS & Android
Around the programme we built a native app for both iOS and Android. Parents see at a glance how their child is doing, follow the weekly schedule, sign up or cancel for sessions and stay informed via messages and push notifications. That brings the organisation closer to the family — and the family closer to S.V. GIO.
What the app does
Design, development & Friends in Business
We designed and built both the website and the app — featuring the mission, the programme and the 'Friends in Business' partner network. One coherent digital whole that tells the story and invites people to take part: as a school, partner, donor or parent.
